MY HISTORY

During the summer of 2018, I was lucky enough to help show Pyrs at the Vermont Scenic Circuit in Tunbridge VT with Catie Straiton of Pyradigm Great Pyrenees. As we made our way back to our grooming space my Mum who was helping bring dogs back mentioned how I’d always wanted a Pyr. Catie stopped dead in her tracks and asked if she was serious looking between me and my Mum. When I confirmed that yes I loved the breed and would like to own one someday Catie explained that she had a bitch in Canada that just had a litter. The pick female from the litter was looking for a potential show home.

On September 12 2018, we welcomed Vixen, Karleo’s Pyradigm Masquerade into our home. I showed Vixen in Jrs and 4H till I aged out. At the same time, we explored other disciplines, mainly Rally and Obedience but also some basic agility for fun.

I’ve had the support and encouragement of my mentors since the beginning. I’m always trying to learn more about this beautiful and majestic breed. I’ve continued my breed studies through various formats. Over the last several years I’ve been lucky enough to be able to build my knowledge of the breed through historical literature. Books written by breed ambassadors such as Mary Crane, Madame Harper Trois-Fontaines, Paul Strang, and more.

It will always be my goal to not only produce stable and temperamentally sound dogs but versatile dogs that exemplify the breed standard.

I started in Dog 4-H in 2015 with my Duck Toller Hudson. 4-H was my big push into dog shows and I attended my first AKC show just a year later. At said show, I fell I love with the beautiful white dog being groomed next to us. I’ve been in love and in awe of pyrs ever since.

I’m a dog enthusiast and dog  groomer by trade. Dogs have always been a special interest of mine. While I’ve done far more research into pyrs than any other breed I’m always eager to learn more about various breeds. My life revolves around dogs and I’m always happy to talk dogs.
